Amb. Mrs. Blessing R. N. Sam Echendu was born on 29th February, 1976. She is the first child of Late Mr. Moses Owadiegwu Enyi Iwhere and Mrs Dorathy Wolungbom Enyi of Rumuokani Ogbakiri in Emohua L.G.A, Rivers State, Nigerian. She finished her Nursery/Primary and Secondary Education in Port Harcourt and proceeded to the University of Port-Harcourt where she obtained her first Degree (B.A) in Philosophy, Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and Masters Degree (B.ed) in Education (Sociology).
She is currently studying for her Ph.D in Sociology in Education at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rivers State. Presently, she is a classroom teacher under the employment of the Rivers State Government. Even as a teacher, she has always demonstrated her innate passion for helping others specially the abused, abandoned, destitute children and widows in the society and Nigeria at large.
In order to enlarge her dream and fully actualized her passion. The orphanage also posses a platform for others who are desirous to lift the down-trodden to help through donations and ideas. She has received several awards due to her commitment to humanity, including an award of honor from the United Nation Peace Volunteers as Eminent Peace Ambassador, An Award of Prestigious Daughter of her Community, and Award of Honour from God’s Kingdom Mission Worldwide etc.
To contribute immensely to a world where there are no abused, abandoned children and widows. We are driven by the need to be instrumental in the achievement of a happy and prosperous society where the dignity of orphans and widows are respected.
To erase a stigma attached to the orphans, abused and abandoned children status and to create a leverage of equality for this group of children with their peers in the world, irrespective of the unfortunate circumstances they were born into.
Our child protection policies are based on the ‘Child Right Act’ while our child protection procedures take cognizance of international standards for the protection of children.
Finally, we dream of beautiful and well equipped rehabilitation centers for the needy. We dream of having compassionate leaders who will ensure that every orphans, abused and abandoned children has a chance to a good standard of life.
To ensure a society where the lives of Orphans, Abused, Abandoned children, Less Privileged and widows are greatly improved through education and health care.
To erase the stigma created by poverty, abandonment and abused. To this end, we have focus on destitute, abandoned children and widows in the society. We hope to reduce street begging by children to be very minimal level.
Our mission also aims at creating homes for children who do not have a place.
